FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY

A couple in our church organized a meal called Hearts and Hands. Members of East Dubuque Wesley in cooperation with a local bar owner provide a free meal each quarter for the many people who are a part of our community. The bars are a place where many feel welcome--many times more welcome than at our churches. So we decided to go to them. When the meal is served once each quarter the alcohol stops flowing and the bar becomes a place of the profoundest Christian fellowship. Our next meal is scheduled for July!
